David Williams has over 25 years experience in the technology and services industry managing both international and domestic markets with a proven success record. He has a range of General Manager experience, including leading successful strategy teams, serving as Vice President of IBM Call Centers Worldwide, Chief Information Officer for the IBM PC business, European Market Executive for the IBM PC products and Vice President for Business Process Re-engineering. Prior to TechPubs, David served as General Manager & Vice President of IBM Printing Systems in the Americas where he had responsibility for $700M of revenue and over 500 employees. He turned this business around and gained 15 points of market share. His last position was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Services for InfoPrint (a Ricoh/IBM joint venture), where he helped transition an IBM division into a successful independent company. David is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Steve Nevin has over 30 years of experience in the airline, aerospace, finance and accounting industries. He has served as CFO of AirTran Holdings, Inc.(NASDAQ), Atlas Air (NYSE), and for Flight Options International, the second largest jet fractional ownership company. In these positions, Steve has raised over $1.5 billion of debt and $100 million of equity. His finance experience includes having served as Vice President of Commercial Aircraft Financing for McDonnell Douglas Finance Corporation and as a Senior Account Executive for Citicorp Leasing, Inc. Steve has held executive positions in both early stage enterprises and large public companies. He has demonstrated an ability to grow businesses successfully and also “turn around” companies in difficulty. Prior to joining TechPubs, Steve served as President of Integrated Airline Services, a $60 million national ground handling company, and President of Colorado Altitude Training. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics from Denison University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Business.
Liang Hsu has filed 36 patents and published two advanced mathematics books for graduate studies during his career. Prior to TechPubs, Liang enjoyed a 20-year career in software development at Siemens Corporate Technology and held the positions of Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Department Head. He has held a number of Chief Architect positions for software development companies focused on technical documentation and the airline industry, in particular, Arbortext, PTC, Jouve and InfoTrust. Most recently, he was Senior Director/Chief Architect of Professional Services and General Manager of InfoTrust Asia. Liang holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and has completed the PhD courses in Computer Science at Princeton University.

Mel Schwan has over 25 years experience in the Aerospace Industry. He initiated and built to success two corporations and several Boeing internal advanced technology groups. He built and managed Flight Operation organizations for a technical publication solution provider owned by General Dynamics. He designed and developed the Electronic Flight Bag for several corporations. He is well respected in the industry by previous customers, ATA committees, NASA, AQP groups, and he lectures at many key industry conferences. Mel is a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science.
Pete Adler enjoys a three-decade career of success, incorporating managerial and technical positions associated with commercial flight operations and current certifications as pilot and check airman in many of today’s modern commercial jet aircraft. Pete has worked on many special aerospace projects, including startup certification, air carrier oversight programs, and simulator and training program approvals. His corporate affiliations include Transamerica (B-747, DC-10DC-8, L-382), Key Airlines (B-727 Flight Manager), TransOcean Airways (DC-8 Chief Pilot), TransContinental Airlines (Director of Flight Ops), Emery Worldwide and BAX Cargo (VP Operations), and JetBlue Airways. Programs he developed include Airworthiness Flight Test, FAA approved Training Center Audit Programs, coordination of all Advanced Qualification Program approvals, and approval of a B-727 and DC-8 Appendix H program. He is fluent in several languages and intimately familiar with the international regulatory environment including JAR-OPS, CASA and CAAC. Pete received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Cleary College in Ann Arbor, MI.
Pete Russo’s career in aviation spans over 35 years, where he has served as a pilot, leader and innovator in aviation safety and regulatory compliance. Pete enjoyed a successful 20-year career of flying and leading ground and flying units throughout the world in the USAF. He is a veteran of the Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars. He worked as pilot and Director of Flight Safety for two worldwide carriers, Evergreen International and Tower Air. Since 2001 he has flown for JetBlue Airways and spent four years as System Chief Pilot and Director of Government and Academic Liaison. Pete has worked with the Aviation Research Group/US (ARG/US) since 1997 to develop the company’s unique safety inspection program, and later designed and initiated the first ever internet-supported flight safety management program for Part 91 and Part 135 business jet operators. Both of these ARG/US programs still flourish to this date. Pete earned a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College, a Master of Science in Transportation from Northwestern, a Master of Business from Troy State, and a Ph.D. in Aviation Safety through Union Institute and University. He is an Adjunct Professor in Aviation for two New York City area colleges. Pete is certified as an IOSA and IS-BAO airline safety and compliance auditor.
Brian Coulter served as a General Duties-Pilot in the Royal New Zealand Air Force and retired as a Squadron Leader after nearly 16 years of service. He was a B-737 Captain and Director of Safety at Air South Airlines. Brian was a start-up member at WinAir Airlines and JetBlue Airways where he wrote a number of the early technical publications for flight operations and was Director of Flight Standards for 5 years. He continues to hold the number one seniority position as an A-320 Captain at JetBlue.
