TechPubs Engineering solutions seamlessly connect airline and OEM engineering with the technical information required to ensure regulatory compliant, efficient and safe operations.
FlightEngineering supports standard documents used in engineering functions, including externally written Service Bulletins (SB) and internally generated Engineering Orders (EO).
Service Bulletin handling involves processing and storing incoming OEM SBs according to business rules defined in the TechPubs content management system. The SB is converted for use in equivalent structures within an internal EO and delivered to Engineering for initial review. From there, the SB can be routed to ‘downstream’ workgroups based on the ATA chapter of the SB.
For Engineering Orders, FlightEngineering’s default EO DTD/schema definition can be tailored for specific airline uses, particularly in format and presentation. EO authoring follows similar constructs to Task Card editing (see Maintenance ), and all work content is presented to the mechanic in a similar format, regardless of source. Additionally, the system features comprehensive graphic format support, effectivity filtering, digital signature support to guarantee workflow security/authenticity, and internal/external hyperlinking.
